Sunnyside Soup Kitchen

Project Description: Logo Design for Sunnyside Soup Kitchen

Project Overview

I had the opportunity to design a professional logo for Sunnyside Soup Kitchen, a non-profit organisation in South Africa. Previously using a temporary logo created in Canva, the charity needed a distinctive and polished logo for their website.

Design Elements

  • Pre-Selected Colour Scheme and Font: The charity had already chosen a specific font and green colour, which were used in their temporary logo and website. These elements were seamlessly incorporated into the new design.

  • Symbolism: The concept of a hand and bowl was developed into two hands, symbolising care and community support. Additional colour and shading were applied to enhance depth and warmth, making the logo more inviting.

Software Utilised

  • Adobe Illustrator: For creating precise vector graphics and ensuring scalability.

  • Adobe Photoshop: For adding colour, shading, and final touches to the design.
